BGMP hosts first Machine Learning workshop

This year, the Bioinformatics and Genomics Master’s Program, part of the Knight Campus Internship Program, hosted its first Machine Learning Workshop for Image Classification lead by Jake Searcy. Over the week long workshop, students utilized Tensorflow and Keras to build Neural Networks to identify tumor cells and malaria parasites in slide images.
