HP and KCGIP Partner on Women's History Month Event

Each year, March is designated as Women’s History Month, which is dedicated to elevating the contributions of women both historically and in contemporary society. Many individuals, organizations, and companies are hosting discussions and workshops to celebrate – and alumni from the Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program (KCGIP) are playing an integral part!

Michelle Regotti completed her master’s degree in 2020 as a part of KCGIP’s semiconductor track and now works as a Metrology Process Engineer at HP. In celebration of Women’s History Month, HP's theme is #InspireInclusion and Michelle created a workshop that aims to highlight the importance of inclusion, both from a human and business standpoint. She invited Stacey York, Knight Campus Sr Director of Professional & Workforce Development, and Betsy Tanenbaum, KCGIP Associate Director of Student Success, Inclusion, and Alumni Engagement, to join her. Together, Michelle, Stacey, and Betsy will present “The Dollars and Sense of Inclusion” at HP on Thursday, March 21 at 12:00 PM. The event will be broadcast to other HP company locations.

"Stacey and Betsy have been amazing sources of inspiration for me since the day I met them back as a student of KCGIP, and I have carried what they've taught me into my career," say Michelle. "I am so proud of the work they continue to do and am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to now collaborate alongside them and create this workshop event for a topic we al share a strong passion for!"

The main focus of the workshop will be to demonstrate how fostering a culture that has a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion positively contributes to employee satisfaction, as well as overall organizational success. It will include the latest research on the financial value of employees that are engaged and have a sense of belonging at work; it will also touch on changing workforce expectations and the importance of actively engaging employees in conversations regarding inclusion and diversity to create a meaningful company culture.

Laura McKnight, KCGIP Senior Director, will also be in attendance to focus on alumni engagement and the group looks forward to gathering alumni working at HP after the workshop.

“We are so proud of the work that Michelle is doing at HP and grateful to HP for taking Michelle’s inspiration and running with it. She is truly a leader of inclusion at her company, and it is an honor to present beside her at this event,” notes Betsy Tanenbaum.

The Knight Campus is proud to partner with HP to celebrate Women’s History Month through such a meaningful collaboration. Initiatives such as these not only celebrate the contributions of women, but also serve as catalysts for creating more inclusive and equitable workplaces for all.
