Betsy Tanenbaum has been promoted to associate director of student success, inclusion, and alumni engagement at the Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program (KCGIP).
In her new role, Tanenbaum, who previously served as senior manager of alumni & corporate engagement, will continue her impactful work as a leader of inclusion for KCGIP and the broader Knight Campus. Her impact will be amplified by taking on a leadership role on the student success team that will include supervision.
“Since she started at KCGIP in 2017, Betsy has been instrumental in elevating our inclusion and diversity efforts and creating a sense of belonging amongst our students,” said Stacey Wagner, assistant vice president, for graduate master’s programs. “She has also been a successful relationship manager in cultivating our alumni community and corporate partnerships.”
Tanenbaum will continue to support KCGIP students through their full lifecycle including prospective students, on-campus students, interns, and alumni. She will also have increased leadership of the recruitment strategy and will partner with the communications team to enhance digital marking approaches.
Tanenbaum has a master’s in art management and diverse experience in strategic leadership, management, and education. She joined the University of Oregon in 2010 as a non-tenure track teaching faculty member for the Arts & Administration program, where she also did recruitment, alumni management and served as the communications manager for the Oregon Arts & Healthcare Research Consortium.
Prior to her time at the UO, Tanenbaum was the director of New Visions Gallery, a nonprofit arts organization located in Marshfield Clinic (Wisconsin), and as the Public Art Manager for Clackamas County, Oregon. She holds an M.S. in arts management from the University of Oregon and a B.A. in musical theater and arts management from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
